SQL*Wizard recently closed an application conversion project for US-based Oracle Platinum Partner Enkitec. The project aims to convert an exisiting Powerbuilder application to Java and PL/SQL. The Power Builder application was initially converted using a utility created by the US partner, into JSP, Java Classes and Oracle packages. There are two teams working on this project. One focuses on PL/SQL and the other on Java. Upon successful conversion, the team checks in the codes into the working repository, for testing by their respective Team Leads in US.

Critical to the success of this project is the smooth flow of communication between the onshore and the offshore teams. This is done through the use of a working repository for the codes, exchange of emails and regular conference calls.

SQL*Wizard is looking forward to extending this strategic partnership not just by getting additional offshore work but by also bringing Enkitec into opportunities in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the area of advanced DBA options and Exadata.
