SQL*Wizard, Oracle's top value added reseller recently held it's 6TH annual kick-off. This fast growing company (listed as WIZ in the Philippine Stock Exchange) grew by 64% percent in terms of revenues from 2001 to 2002.

During the kick off, the various departments and profit centers presented their stretched plans for year 2003. Ever committed to combining synergies within the groups, the annual kick off involved the entire employee force headed by its managing director, Alberto F. Hermoso, Jr., marketing director Dina Salonga, finance director, Antonio D. Lasala. It was also graced by their chairman of the board, Mr. Enrique Pelaez.

SQL*Wizard, being a true out-of-the box thinker, veered away from the staid "slideshow and tell". Instead, the groups conveyed their respective strategies through dramatizations. The excellent presentations cum productions simultaneously improved understanding, made the program a lot more fun and invited full participation from the officers and staff. Highlight of the program was the awarding of the Wizard of the Year to Dennis Bautista, who heads ISSG. The most outstanding presentation award was given to the training group headed by Meldy Evangelista. The group concluded the event with a renewed passion for the exciting challenge that this youthful and dynamic company faces for 2003.
